The Friends of Goodrich are excited to announce that World Book Day returns! From March 4th – 7th, we have arranged a fantastic lineup of talented writers, illustrators, and storytellers to visit our school and share their skills and passion for literature with our students.
Readathon 9th February – 4th March
Dress Up as your favourite literary character: Thursday 7th March 2024
- Decide how much you will read from 9th Feb to 4th March, this can be chapters, pages, or whole books! It’s up to you.
- Complete your form and ask friends, family, neighbours to sponsor you.
- Get reading and write down everything you read and what you thought of it.
- Once the competition is closed, collect all your money and hand it to the office by 4th March or donate it online.
Throughout the week, children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops, book readings, and assemblies led by our visiting authors and illustrators. These events will provide a fun and engaging way for students to learn about the creative process of writing and illustrating, as well as the joy of reading and storytelling.
In addition to these educational activities, we will also be hosting competitions, book sales, and other fun activities that will give students the chance to win prizes and show off their own talents. We encourage all students and families to participate in these events and celebrate the importance of literature in our lives.
Book for all!
A Free Book will be offered to all Children at Goodrich, courtesy for National Book Tokens and World Book Day.
We hope that these events will foster a love of reading and writing – so come and join us in this week long celebration of books and authors and let’s make this a memorable event for everyone.
This page will be updated with more information, activities, downloads, competitions and announcements.
