27th Feb – 9th March 2023
The Friends of Goodrich are excited to announce that World Book Day events are returning to our school after a three-year break! From February 27th to March 9th, we have arranged a fantastic lineup of talented writers, illustrators, and storytellers to visit our school and share their skills and passion for literature with our students.

Throughout the week, children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops, book readings, and assemblies led by our visiting authors and illustrators. These events will provide a fun and engaging way for students to learn about the creative process of writing and illustrating, as well as the joy of reading and storytelling.

In addition to these educational activities, we will also be hosting competitions, book sales, and other fun activities that will give students the chance to win prizes and show off their own talents. We encourage all students and families to participate in these events and celebrate the importance of literature in our lives.
Book Tokens for all!
Book Tokens will be offered to all Children at Goodrich, courtesy for National Book Tokens and World Book Day. Kids will be able to redeem their WBD vouchers at school courtesy of Tales on Moon Lane.

We hope that these events will foster a love of reading and writing – so come and join us in this week long celebration of books and authors and let’s make this a memorable event for everyone.
As some of you may know, there is a teacher strike scheduled for Thursday 2nd March, which is World Book Day. To make sure no one misses out we have decided to moved all the activities planned for that day to the following Thursday March 9th. This means that the visits scheduled for years 4 and 5, as well as the cake sale, 2nd hand book stand and dressing up will now take place on Thursday 9th March. Everything else will go ahead as planned.
