Goodrich to Goodrich cycle challenge raises £9,000!

Our 14 intrepid Goodrich dads cycled a mind-blowing 350km over two days last weekend, raising an amazing £9,020 for the school. They started near Goodrich Castle – close to Wales – and pedalled through rain, floods and some beautiful countryside returning to school in time for the Summer Fair and a massive Goodrich welcome!

Well done to all the riders, many of whom had never pedalled such a distance, and especially to organisers Matthew Chiles and David Sargen. Huge thanks to sponsors DRS and Balfe’s Bikes for accompanying the riders with a technical support van. Plus to Family Feasts for supplying the first night’s dinner and mid-ride snacks and Pinkfrog Design for designing the team logo. And of course THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the team’s fundraising page, for your amazing generosity.

We have now formed a Goodrich cycling club, and are hoping more mums, dads and other family members will feel inspired to try out cycling or take part in future events of varying distances!  Please contact matthew.chiles@googlemail.com if you’re interested in finding out more.
