It’s time to start singing in the shower, dusting off your instruments, getting together with pals (unless you’re going solo) and planning your performance for GOODRICH ROCKS which takes place on Thursday 5 July.
We’ll be announcing the audition date soon but it will be during the week starting 21 May. This will be a fun, stress-free opportunity to show us what you want to do on the big day. Think about the music you love and how you can entertain your audience with it. We can’t wait to see what you can do.
New for this year:
Dancers! We want you! If you would rather dance than be part of a band (dancing is encouraged as part of routines as well) please come and audition on the same day. We will have 3 dance acts performing between songs and this will be an opportunity for the audience to get up on their feet too.
Stage management! If you would like to be part of Goodrich Rocks but prefer to use your skills behind the scenes, we want to hear from you!
Audience! As always, your support of the performers is crucial. Come, cheer and dress up. As well as wearing the super-cool t-shirts on the big day, we want to see SUPERSTAR HATS and HAIRDOS!
Parents and carers! As ever, we can’t do it without your help! If you can help, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking for volunteers for: marshals, ice-cream stand, first aiders, t-shirt sellers (a couple of dates before the event) and food, tuck shop and bar people. We would also love a stage manager for the day so if you have experience in this and would like to be involved in something epic, please do get in touch.
T-SHIRT COMPETITION Would you like to design the logo for Goodrich Rocks 2018? Your design will feature on this year’s t-shirts and will be worn by all your friends at the event. Most of us can recognise our favourite football teams and bands by their logos. You can take inspiration from them and maybe some big events such as the Olympics and more famous music festivals.
Your design needs to include the words GOODRICH ROCKS 2018, plus anything relevant to your entry. It can be hand drawn or done on the computer but remember it needs to be bold to stand out, too much detail will get lost. It will print in 1 colour so keep your designs black and white. Most important thing is to have fun. Can’t wait to see your entries – get them in by 25th May.
