Half Term Art Competition

Halloween or Bonfire theme half term art competition

Calling all Goodrich pupils!

FoG is running a Half Term Art Competition!

Scare us with your talents this half term and design a Halloween or Bonfire Night themed piece of A4 artwork!

The only rule is that it must be A4 size and have your name and class number on the back.

If you already have half term plans don’t worry – the closing date isn’t until after Bonfire Night.

Please hand your artwork to your class teacher on Monday 8th November or Tuesday 9th November, along with a £1 entry fee.

The competition will be judged by Goodrich’s Art Coordinator Mrs Hollingsworth, and the best entries will be displayed in school.

Winners will be invited to design a poster for a future FoG event.

All the information is in the attached poster; please contact with any questions.

Let’s see your most frightening and explosive creations!

Goodrich Burns Night, 25th January

Scottish tartan kilt

Fancy a bit of Friday night dancing? To music from a live band, the awesome local SEL Folk Orchestra? And with entertainment from a piper kindly supplied by one of our Scottish families? Plus with a ‘caller’, who basically tells you what to do dance-wise…

It’s our Burns Night ‘Ceilidh’, which just means gathering for the non-Celtic folk amongst us 😉. And it’s happening next Friday, 25th January.

No prior experience necessary (phew…) just bring lots of enthusiasm, grab a few friends, have a couple of cocktails from the bar and away you go…

Tickets are £10 with a welcome drink thrown in for free, and they are going down faster than a haggis hot dog (did we say mention we’ll have those too?) Buy your tickets outside the office every morning from 9am. Payment by cash or card.

It’s going to be Fri-yay with our children’s b-i-n-g-o!

Join us in the lower hall on Friday 9th November from 3:45-5:15pm for some fun and games.

The theme is fireworks so we’ll have sparkles, plus a tuck shop and prizes galore!

Money raised goes towards supporting the school with funding activities and equipment.
