Book review forms will be distributed by the school council from Monday 21st June. Alternatively you can download a book review form here.
Please hand completed book reviews into the school office by the entry deadline of Monday 28th June. The winners will be announced on Friday 2nd July.

The sell out Pub Quiz night on 28th April was a fantastic event, thoroughly challenging, cheering and low on cheating! Here are the eagerly awaited full results;

Well done to everyone, we were very impressed by the level of knowledge displayed by Goodrich parents and teachers. 7 teams managed to get full marks in one round each, and the winners ‘I Have my Uses’ actually scored 10 out of 10 in no less than 3 rounds! (note to self, make the questions even harder next year!)
Finally, may I officially apologise for the slight mix up with the pesky joker in the movie quotes round, I hope it didn’t spoil it for anyone, but I’m sure you’ll all agree that ultimately it’s the taking part that counts………..

Last Fun Run 2010 update!!!!!
This Sunday May 9th @ Dulwich Park a huge amount of Goodrich pupils, parents and staff will be running (or walking) around Dulwich Park. The weather will be wonderful and if its not lets just pretend! We would love any of you who are not taking part to spare a couple of hours and come down to support your friends and teachers! There may be a few spare adult (approx 15) places available for those of you who are now keen to run the 5k. These places will be available on the day at a first come first served basis, please get to the info table by 9.30am.
All the t-shirts and run packs should have been given out to your child or yourself via the class room or hand delivered by very very lovely volunteers. If however, you believe you have entered and paid for a place but have not received anything please do contact either myself, Malina (07908550477) or Liz (07976778413) or email malina_webber@hotmail.com. It’s quite possible that we have your entry but not enough details to get them out to you!!
There are a number of personalised ‘justgiving’ pages from children and adults (well done to you all!) and there is the generic www.justgiving.com/goodrichfun2010 page if you would like to sponsor anyone doing the run. Using justgiving and gift aid means that FoG get 28p extra per £1 given!! Please don’t be put off by Paul Collyer’s name appearing on the generic one. He set the page up and for some reason we can’t get rid of his name!!
If you have volunteered to help out for the Fun Run 5k please could you come to the Queen Mary’s Gate by 9.15am to be given your job! The Fun Run will happen come rain or shine so please do come prepared for all weather….
Lastly be sure to smile for the cameras as you run by as South London Press have agreed to print a few pictures and words next week!
FoG meeting next Tuesday 11th May @ 8pm in the Herne Tavern back room.
This will be my last FoG meeting as Chair as sadly I will be moving at the beginning of June. I am trying not to think about it which may well be why I completely forgot about this forthcoming meeting! The FoG committee have worked very hard this year and are really keen for their work to continue BUT they will need a new temporary FoG chair up until the October AGM. Mostly the role is about the co-ordination of FoG events and sharing of information with parents and children of Goodrich school. Below is a little job description, it doesn’t have to be just one person who does this, it could well be shared by two!!

Thank you and well done for entering The Goodrich Fun Run 2010!
We are very pleased to announce that we have filled all 450 places for this year’s Fun Run and have now got people on a waiting list in case any one should drop out before May 9th!
It’s not compulsory to raise sponsorship but if you would like to it would be very much appreciated by FoG and Goodrich School!
There are two ways to gain sponsorship:
Either… Download the sponsorship form to print out (or collect one from the school office) and ask anyone you know to sponsor you
Or… Use the Goodrich Fun Run Just Giving page and forward it to all your friends and family. Using this link also means we gain 28p extra in each £1 donated due to gift aid… it’s well worth doing!!
Alternatively you could always set up your own page using FoG as your designated charity. The link below has really clear instructions as to how to do this http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising-page/Creation/Raise-money-home.aspx
We will be distributing T-shirts and race numbers and an information pack a couple of days before the Fun Run on May 9th.
These will either be hand delivered or sent to you through your Goodrich child/children.
