T’was another barrie Burns night at Goodrich! Guests were greeted with a wee (but strong) dram o’ whiskey and orange to wet the whistle before the first Ceilidh dance kicked off at 8:30pm. The music, provided by a 20 piece Ceilidh band, kept spirits and energy high – with the help of a well stocked bar and hot FoG dogs. And aside from a short hiatus to Toast to the Haggis and listen to some ‘lively’ Scottish poetry, the dancing continued until 11pm.
It was a superb night, the organisation and effort that had been put in was obvious and the atmosphere was just as it should be on Burns night – lively and filled with laughter. A huge thank you to the parent organisers: Tina, Nik and Emma, and to anyone who missed it – there will always be next year!
